Creation of a new international product brand

boon. is the world's first mobile payment product that allows contactless payments via Android or iOS smartphones. The app is designed for millennials, digital nomads, and anyone who wants to leave their wallet at home.

The briefing

 

The objective

Develop a state of the art mobile payment brand which was launched internationally for the B2C market. The brand was to be constantly developed in the area of usability and design. It should serve as a beacon and proof of concept for the acquisition of new and development of existing customers.

My role

As Creative Director, I built the basis for the foundation by executing the logo design, color, typography system, Image concept and design manual. I guided the design process for the product (UX/UI) and was the creative lead and production supervisor for the international launch campaigns.

Understanding your customers

It is vital to truly understand your target group, their behaviour, anxiety and desires. With the help of personas, user surveys and methods such as Design Thinking, we have strived to create a user-centric experience consistent throughout all touchpoints.

Building a brand from ground up

Creation

While creating the logo I wanted to play with typography. The look should be minimalist and to the point. The custom-made typeface is friendly, flowing and humane.

Definition

I defined and categorised all brand elements. With digital products, features such as sound and movement are key and have a huge impact on the user experience.

Scale

Right from the start, the concept gave room for an expansion of the brand, and the ability to incorporate additional features, services and products into the brand family.

Make it scalable.

Based on my initial design concept, the brand architecture was extended by a further product line of an innovative banking app. The original concept was intended to be scalable from the beginning. The extension of the strategy has therefore been smartly incorporated.

Product launch campaign for the UK market

The concept for the video is to let a dancer explore the streets of London without borders, without restrictions. Free, just like boon. the innovative payment solution. Even without your wallet, you are now ready, no matter what you' re up to.

 


My achievements:

Ideation, concept, art direction, and on-site production supervision and leading of the production team. Monitoring and approval of creation and budget.
